Delicious fish and steak

A very successful and lovingly furnished brewery. There is also a very varied menu, which also accommodates the classic North German fish culture. All in all an excellent evening, which the staff made possible.

I've been here four times and I'm thrilled every time! Great setting with attention to detail, delicious food, freshly tapped beer, nice staff, pleasant live music, always getting a table immediately without prior reservation - an absolute must for Hamburg tourists and locals, ideal for a first date or a nice evening with you Friends and family.

Beer was delicious but nothing more, the schnitzel wasn't good, you couldn't even taste what kind of meat it was and the fries with it looked like they had been on a plate somewhere. And the fish wasn't awesome either. For a log cabin owner this is the biggest and worst gastronomy he has ever had.

A must for every Hamburg visit! Great ambience and delicious food! The menu is kept small, but every dish tastes perfect! We had the Wiener Schnitzel with the champions and we love it! Big portions are popular here, so bring hunger with you :)

They refused to provide tap water, which I just found out it's against the law. Don't know why they refused tap water, so we had to pay 6.10 for a large bottle of water. The food was nice, but not great. Felt like cheap potatoes and cheap pretzel.

Very cozy, good food, tasty beers, fairly cheap, friendly service, reasonably fast, nice ambiance, easily accessible, nice music.

We were with the children and everyone praised the delicious food. For my part, I can say that this is the best food I have had in a restaurant this year and delicious beer of my own production. Cool. I recommend

Before the evening cruise around the harbor, we had a quick meal here. Luckily, the service and the kitchen were very quick. The food was fresh, homemade and extremely tasty. Only the house's own beer could not convince. The musical accompaniment on the Schiffer's piano and the rustic interior with facilities for brewing beer created a cozy atmosphere.

Staff was super nice and accommodating The food came very quickly and was plentiful Beer and shandy were also delicious Just one thing: the mushrooms in the sauce looked and had a mouth feel like they were out of a can. Since I was not present when the sauce was being prepared, I can only assume very strongly. There is better quality (Just as a small note) Therefore unfortunately only 4 out of 5 achieved. Otherwise everything was great

We were there a little earlier than was reserved. Instead of offering us a drink or sitting down at the table that was already free, we were turned away in a very unfriendly manner with a reference to the reservation time. When we were back on site 10 minutes later, we had to relocate at the table again after initial briefing, as it was apparently the wrong one. The service was not very friendly and there was no question of attentiveness. And unfortunately the food wasn't really that great either. It felt like they were serving ready-made meals instead of home-cooked ones. A plastic part in my colleague's mashed potatoes was the icing on the cake. Absolutely not recommended.

Nice brewery directly on the landing stages. The staff and service are polite and courteous. Delicious house beer, I didn't eat it (therefore only 4 stars) but the look at the menu was promising and the prices in line with the brewery.

I can't understand the reviews of the others on here. Staff was very nice and brisk. We also enjoyed the food very much. The two waiters and waitress rocked a full floor, including pouring beer and other beverages. So there is nothing to complain about, just two thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻

Reserved at 7:30 p.m., we were turned away rather unfriendly 15 minutes earlier and weren't even allowed to sit down for a beer, although the table and its side tables (Corona) were all free. The service was not friendly, trained or courteous, you were just handled in bulk. The food probably consists entirely of ready-made products. I found the first bites of my mashed potatoes to be very tasty despite the many lumps. I also found the fried fish delicious. However, when I bit a large piece of plastic in the mashed potato, I no longer had an appetite. At least the waiter apologized kindly when I handed the plate back to him. I was not offered either the food or a drink. The dessert was very sweet and nicely presented.

The service was very polite and the food was good. You should know that you don't have the same menu on the terrace as in the restaurant downstairs (we were told that the kitchen upstairs was smaller), but you can still find something tasty on the menu. My husband said that the beer would taste very good and you also have a great view.

A nice stay on the beautiful roof terrace with drinks and a few small things to eat. Great view of the harbor. Careful operation.

The food was good, but the service very poor. When I ask for a table in shadow they answer is summer and that is why is sun , but the umbrellas they have they keep close. Maybe they wanted to make economy on shadow😂

You'll get the typical Brauhaus atmosphere & feel here. Friendly staff & fast service. Wide selection of good beer but the food is a disappointment. The beef steak was the only good dish among those we ordered. Beef is tender & juicy but the fries served with was the frozen fries, similar to McDonald's standard of fries. We also had Apfelstrudel - apple seems *seasoned* and dough doesn't taste fresh. For us, the food here is not to wow with but beer is good. Another plus point is the hafen view if you get to sit near the windows or up at the terrace. Note: visited again in June 2020 with friends. Had veal sausage (kalbwurst), again another disappointment. Sausage and mashed potatoes was ok but the sauerkraut hmmm taste like it has been prepared ages ago. Only plus point during my recent visit was the hafencity view from the terrace, it's beautiful!

5 out of 6 people got their food (relatively) on time. The fries were really bad and the meat was burned. The last one got his food, after asking two times for it, almost after we were already done. Without any excuse or some offering like a salad in the meantime. Its weird because we were here before and were happy with both food and service Update: The waiter changed and he handled the Situation very well. We all got Coffee on the house and he apologized. So its two instead of one star

Very nice place. If you go, 1-2pm is usually good, other times, there will be 10+ people long queues. If you're just two people, you might have to share a desk with other people, no big deal. Delicious food. Recommend.

Iconic place in Hamburg, one of the city's postcards.⚓ By the time when I came they didn't have English menus neither the staff spoke English 🇬🇧 but we managed to order. Their beer was good and it was nice to try different types 🍻 The price is not bad for a restaurant and food was very tasty 🍗 The place is very big but I would recommend a reservation when coming with a group.

Top service by our waitress. As they did not have an English menu, she explained what each dish was in English. Food was delicious and their own brand of beer was good too.
